Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Swadlincote, Newhall, Woodville, Midway and the wider DE11 area. Roles include day-to-day cover, short-term placements, and longer-term assignments across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Flexible or regular work, with weekly PAYE pay and immediate opportunities. We welcome candidates with recent experience in UK primary settings, GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above, strong communication skills, and

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar setting.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
• Confidence supporting pupils individually and in small groups.
• Strong communication skills.
• Patient, professional and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Assist children with classroom activities and learning tasks.
• Work alongside the class teacher to support lessons.
• Encourage pupils to stay engaged and confident in learning.
• Support positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Work with pupils who may need additional learning or behavioural support.
