Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Chaddesden, Oakwood, Spondon and surrounding DE21 areas. Opportunities exist from November onwards with full-time, part-time and flexible options, across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Weekly PAYE pay and free CPD are on offer, with ongoing local support. Role involves assisting teachers, supporting pupils individually and in small groups, and helping maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
• Confidence supporting pupils individually and in small groups.
• Good communication skills and a patient, professional approach.
• A reliable and flexible attitude.
• The ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and school environments.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
• You must have the right to work in the UK.
• All safeguarding checks including an Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Helping pupils remain engaged and focused on their learning.
• Supporting positive behaviour within the classroom.
• Working with pupils who may require additional learning or behavioural support.
• Helping create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
