Job summary

Monahans, part of Sumer Group, is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our Swindon team. You’ll take ownership of audit assignments for a varied client portfolio, working closely with managers and partners to deliver high-quality service and develop junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification.
• Experience in external audit in practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK audit and accounting standards.
• Experience leading audits and supervising junior team members.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Manage audit fieldwork both on-site and remotely
• Prepare and review audit files in line with regulatory requirements
• Identify risks and opportunities and provide practical recommendations
• Prepare statutory accounts and associated working papers
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Supervise, coach and support trainees and junior team members
• Liaise with managers and partners on audit findings and client matters
• Ensure compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies
