Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking several flexible SEND Teaching Assistants to work across local SEND Schools in Wirral. The role offers sickness/absence cover with the ability to choose how many days to work, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.

You will support pupils aged 2-19 with needs including Autism, SEMH, SLD, Downs Syndrome, GDD and PMLD, providing emotional, social and academic support and helping to create a calm, engaging learning environment. DBS may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children or young adults with additional needs in a school or similar setting.
• Ability to provide emotional support and build relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils emotionally, socially and academically.
• Help break down barriers to learning and develop life skills.
• Manage behaviour to create a calm, engaging learning environment.
• Work as part of a team with staff members.
