Job summary

Connex Education are working with a Primary School in Wirral who are seeking an EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. You will support EYFS pupils with social/communication needs, GDD and Autism, in a full-time role from 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

The position is for at least one term, with the potential for a direct contract. This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about helping pupils with additional needs at the start of their educational

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting EYFS children with Special Needs.
• Ability to use a range of communication methods to facilitate learning.
• Energetic, creative and able to work well within a team.
• Ability to manage behaviour with positive strategies to create a calm learning environment.
• Able to provide a DBS check via update service or apply for a new one.

Responsibilities

• Support EYFS pupils with social/communication needs, GDD and Autism.
• Assist with the Early Years curriculum through play and sensory activities.
• Work with teaching staff to support pupil development and communication goals.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment in the classroom.
