Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in and around Shepton Mallet, Somerset. This is a supply-based, part-time role with a September 2026 start, offering flexible hours to fit around commitments.

You will work across specialist SEN and SEMH provisions, providing one-to-one and small-group support, while collaborating with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored help and promote positive learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN/SEMH or specialist education.
• Proactive and resilient approach to cover work.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt to different settings at short notice.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs.
• Assisting with academic, emotional and social development.
