Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking a Secondary Supply Teacher to join our flexible pool in Stevenage and surrounding areas. You will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, adapt to different subjects and school contexts, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Ideal candidates hold QTS or equivalent, have strong classroom management and communication skills, and are prepared to undergo safeguarding checks including Enhanced DBS. Weekly PAYE pay with experience-based rates applies.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in secondary schools across KS3/KS4.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Willingness to undergo Enhanced DBS and safeguarding training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 in your subject area.
• Follow school plans or adapt lessons to meet learners' needs.
• Maintain positive behaviour and safeguarding standards.
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth handover.
