Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking Secondary Supply Teachers to cover in Plympton and surrounding areas. These flexible roles offer short-term and long-term opportunities across the secondary curriculum.

You will deliver engaging lessons, maintain inclusive classrooms and adapt strategies for diverse learners, with safeguarding at the core of the role.

Qualifications

Secondary Supply Teacher - Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately

These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You'll be supporting schools in Plympton and the surrounding areas, covering a range of subjects as needed.

Duties as Secondary Supply Teacher:

• Deliver engaging lessons across the secondary curriculum following provided plans
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Assess and record pupil progress where required
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of different learners
• Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to the wider school community

Ideal Secondary Supply Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge across the secondary curriculum
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Adaptable and confident working across different schools and year groups
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
