Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking qualified Secondary Cover Teachers (QTS) for flexible day-to-day supply across Bristol and surrounding areas. This role offers no planning or marking, with a simple 8:30–3:30 schedule and weekly PAYE payments, ideal for applicants seeking balance and variety.

Delivering pre-set work to KS3/KS4, you will manage classrooms, maintain safeguarding, and provide concise handover notes. ECTs welcome, with options for regular local placements and ongoing Bristol guidance.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs are welcome to apply).
• Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies.
• High adaptability stepping into unfamiliar classrooms and subjects.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to process a new one).
• Right to work in the UK and verifiable references covering the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-set work across KS3 and KS4 in various subjects.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensuring student safeguarding during the school day.
• Leaving clear handover notes for regular teachers.
