Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a qualified Secondary Supply Teacher (QTS) to cover schools across Swindon on a flexible, day-to-day basis. You will deliver pre-planned lessons while avoiding planning and marking tasks, providing teachers with reliable cover.

Ideal candidates hold QTS, have strong classroom management, and can adapt quickly to different school environments. DBS Update Service is preferred or willingness to apply; you must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent secondary teaching qualification is essential.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt quickly to new school environments.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Must possess the legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across various secondary subjects in Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Maintain a positive, productive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensure student safety and support during lesson times, keeping them focused and on task.
• Leave detailed feedback for returning subject teachers at the end of the school day.
