Academics in Aylesbury is seeking compassionate School-Based Care Assistants for flexible, part-time work in a specialist educational setting. You will support learners with autism, communication difficulties and complex needs, helping them access education while ensuring their personal care and wellbeing are fully supported.

Role offers part-time, flexible hours around availability, with immediate start and temporary ad-hoc contracts that can lead to regular ongoing work.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in care, healthcare, education or specialist support.
• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs is desirable.
• Right to work in the UK – sponsorship not available.

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1 and small group care and support to pupils with additional needs
• Support pupils with personal and intimate care where required
• Assist non-verbal pupils with communication, sensory activities and learning
• Follow individual care, learning and support plans
• Support pupils with their daily routines and personal wellbeing
• Help pupils access lessons and participate in school activities
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals
• Maintain a calm, safe and nurturing environment
• Promote independence, dignity and positive relationships
