Job summary

Academics is seeking an experienced School Support Worker in Aylesbury to support learners with autism and additional needs in a specialist setting. The role offers part-time, flexible, ad-hoc hours with immediate start and pay of £14.50–£15.00 per hour dependent on experience.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist non-verbal learners with communication and learning tasks, and may give personal care where needed.

Are you an experienced Support Worker, Care Worker or Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs?

Academics is currently recruiting a School Support Worker to work within a specialist educational setting in Aylesbury, supporting learners with autism, communication difficulties and complex needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for School Support Worker with experience in education, care, SEN or specialist support who are looking for flexible, part-time and as needed work in Aylesbury.

You will play an important role in helping learners feel safe, supported and able to engage with their education, including working with non-verbal learners and those with complex needs.

Key Details

• Location: Aylesbury
• Pay: £14.50-£15.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Hours: Part-time and flexible ; days can be discussed around your availability
• Contract: Temporary, ad-hoc work with opportunities for regular ongoing work
• Start: Immediate

What You'll Be Doing

As a School Support Worker, your role will include:
