Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Salaried GP for Crabbs Cross Medical Centre, offering four to six sessions with flexible hours and a mix of same-day and routine consultations, including face-to-face and remote care. The post includes home visits where needed and a commitment to high standards of patient care.

Applicants should hold GMC registration with licence to practise and be on the NHS England Medical Performers List, with experience in clinical audit and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• GMC registration with licence to practise.
• Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List.
• Experience of clinical audit and quality improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with undifferentiated and diagnosed conditions.
• Undertake same-day and routine consultations, face-to-face and remotely.
• Assess, diagnose, treat, prescribe and refer patients.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions in line with national and local guidelines.
• Conduct home visits when required.
• Prescribe in line with GMC guidance, NICE and local policy, with regular medication reviews.
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records.
• Take part in safeguarding procedures for children and vulnerable adults.
• Process lab results, hospital correspondence and clinical documents, and complete referrals and reports within timescales.
• Contribute to quality improvement activities and clinical audits.
• Take part in significant event reviews and support QOF and contractual requirements.
• Promote health education and disease prevention.
