Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Superflex Roadside Mechanic to deliver adaptable roadside assistance across the Guildford cluster and surrounding areas. You’ll diagnose faults, perform repairs and get members back on the road with your RAC van and toolkit.

You’ll work shifts from 06:00 to 02:00, including weekends and bank holidays, with a base salary of £55,869 and potential to earn up to £61,000. A UK driving licence with <6 points is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside calls and perform diagnostics and repairs to get members back on the road.
• Manage your kit and keep your van stocked for efficient service delivery.
• Work flexible shifts across early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays while serving your local area.
