Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Superflex Roadside Mechanic to join the Guildford cluster and serve members across nearby towns. You’ll work around 40 hours per week with a roster provided in advance and core hours confirmed a few days beforehand.

Shifts span 06:00–02:00 and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You’ll receive a van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit to start, with a competitive package and regional coverage.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and full UK driving licence.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside breakdowns and repair vehicles on the move.
• Diagnose faults, perform diagnostics and ensure safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and keep members informed.
