Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Superflex Roadside Mechanic to cover the Guildford cluster and nearby towns, getting members back on the road with on‑site diagnostics and repairs. You’ll work 40 hours per week, with shifts from early morning to late night, across the year.

Candidates need an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician) and a full UK driving licence. RAC provides a van, tools, uniform and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence (fewer than 6 points)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs to get members back on the road.
• Manage your own kit and keep the van stocked for daily calls.
• Provide high‑quality, calm, and on‑scene support to RAC members during roadside incidents.
