Sanctuary Group in Kingswood, Chester is seeking a General Assistant - Cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness across communal areas and kitchens within our retirement community. The role emphasises dignity, privacy, and compassionate service for residents, with strong health and safety practices in daily tasks.

The position offers competitive hourly pay of £12.71, 33 days of annual leave pro rata, sick pay, a contributory pension, and ongoing training and development opportunities

Qualifications

Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
Level 2 diploma in housekeeping or catering or willingness to work towards.
Some experience in a domestic or catering environment.
Basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

Keep communal areas, offices, and kitchens clean and tidy.
Complete all cleaning duties to a high standard.
Report faults or hazards to maintain a safe environment.
Monitor stock levels and ensure equipment is used safely.
Help prepare meals and drinks while respecting privacy and dignity.
