Job summary

Daisy Haye Retirement Community in Leek, Staffordshire is seeking a General Assistant - Cleaning to maintain clean communal areas and kitchens to a high standard. You will join a compassionate team, supporting residents with privacy and dignity while adhering to health and safety practices.

The role is part-time, 20 hours per week, with £12.71 per hour. We offer a comprehensive rewards package including generous annual leave, pension, life insurance and access to training and flexible working

Qualifications

• Experience with general cleaning duties (desirable).
• Some experience in a domestic or catering environment.
• Level 2 diploma in housekeeping or catering, or willingness to work towards.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Keep communal areas, offices, and kitchens clean and tidy.
• Complete all cleaning duties to a high standard.
• Report any faults or hazards to maintain a safe environment.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure equipment is used safely.
• Help prepare meals and drinks while meeting customers' needs and respecting their privacy and dignity.
