Job summary

Academics in Worksop is seeking a caring Reception Teaching Assistant to support children in the Reception classroom across primary schools in Worksop.

You will deliver play-based activities to develop early literacy, numeracy and communication, with flexible, ongoing supply work and ASAP start. The role requires a CACHE Level 3 in Childcare or Early Years.

The position provides ongoing opportunities, competitive daily rates and support from experienced education consultants.

Qualifications

• CACHE Level 3 in Childcare or Early Years or an equivalent Level 3 qualification.
• Experience in early years or school settings.
• Understanding of early childhood development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support Reception pupils with classroom learning.
• Assist with play-based activities and early learning.
• Support early literacy, numeracy and communication.
• Provide whole-class, small-group and individual support.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider team.
• Follow safeguarding and school procedures.
