Job summary

Academics is seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant in Worksop to support children in the Reception classroom, helping them develop early literacy, numeracy and confidence through play. The role involves adapting activities for whole classes, small groups and individuals, under the guidance of the class teacher.

The ideal candidate will hold CACHE Level 3 in childcare or early years (or equivalent), have experience with young children, and be committed to safeguarding and teamwork.

Qualifications

• CACHE Level 3 in Childcare or Early Years is essential.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience working with children in early years or school settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Reception pupils with classroom learning.
• Assist with play-based activities and early learning.
• Support early literacy, numeracy and communication.
• Provide whole-class, small-group and individual support.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider team.
• Follow safeguarding and school procedures.
