Job summary

Smile Education are seeking a dedicated Reception Teaching Assistant for a Birmingham primary school, starting ASAP. You will support learning in a Reception classroom as pupils transition from EYFS to Key Stage 1.

You should have EYFS qualification, experience in EYFS and Year 1, and be able to deliver small group interventions and 1:1 support, with strong communication with pupils, staff and parents. Smile Education offers a dedicated consultant, ongoing support, competitive weekly pay,

Qualifications

• EYFS qualification highly desirable.
• Experience in EYFS and Year 1 settings.
• Caring, patient and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
• Confidence delivering small group interventions and 1:1 support.
• Strong communication with pupils, staff and parents.
• Proven school-based experience with strong references.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within a Reception classroom.
• Assist with interventions to support academic and social development.
• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure pupils receive the support they need to succeed.
