Job summary

Class Act is offering Primary Teaching Assistant supply roles across multiple primary schools in North and East London and surrounding regions. Roles provide day-to-day, short-term placements across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 and require a positive, patient approach with pupils.

Ideal candidates will have experience in primary settings, strong communication and teamwork, and flexibility to adapt quickly in new environments. Salaries are paid weekly through PAYE, with exclusive staff benefits available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Primary Teaching Assistant or in a primary school setting.
• Positive, patient, supportive approach with children.
• Confidence supporting pupils across ages and abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support class teachers with daily activities across EYFS, KS1, KS2.
• Assist individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Help with classroom organisation and resource preparation.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Provide additional support for pupils with SEND where required.
• Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence in learning.
• Support transitions, playtimes, and lunchtime supervision when needed.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies.
