Step Teachers Ltd is seeking enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants for flexible supply roles across multiple primary settings in the UK. You will support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, collaborating with teachers to reinforce learning and maintain positive classroom environments.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Primary Teaching Assistant or in a primary school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support class teachers with day-to-day classroom activities across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

  • Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and daily routines.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' social and emotional development.
  • Provide additional support for pupils with SEND where required.
  • Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence in learning.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
  • Support playground, lunchtime, and transition activities when needed.
  • Provide feedback to teachers regarding pupil progress and engagement.
  • Represent Step Teachers professionally while working as a Primary Teaching Assistant.

These flexible opportunities are ideal for Primary Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different primary school settings. Working on supply allows Primary Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of year groups, gain experience in different classroom environments, and maintain flexibility while contributing to pupils' learning and wellbeing.

Duties as Primary Teaching Assistant:
  • Support class teachers with day-to-day classroom activities across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and support progress
  • Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and daily routines
