Job summary

Vision For Education is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Stafford and surrounding areas. The role follows school hours, term time, and is paid weekly through PAYE. You will work 8:30–3:30 with no planning or marking required and holidays off.

The ideal candidate may come from childcare, nurseries, or care settings, with or without a TA qualification. DBS is required or willingness to obtain one. Join us to gain classroom experience across Reception to Year 6.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in school, nursery, or care settings.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the class teacher from Reception to Year 6 (some schools to Year 8).
• Hear readers and run small groups for phonics, reading and maths.
• Help children who are stuck get going and keep the classroom running smoothly.
• Support during break and lunch as requested by schools.
