Job summary

Value Education LTD is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in mainstream Primary and Secondary settings across the Sefton area.

You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored support, help pupils access learning, manage needs such as ASC and ADHD, and promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.

The role offers competitive daily pay of £95-£110, weekly pay, September start dates, and ongoing CPD with a referral bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN in schools, care, youth work or similar settings.
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils individually throughout the school day.
• Working with children who may have ASC, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH, learning difficulties or other additional needs.
• Helping pupils access learning and fully engage in lessons.
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborating closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to implement tailored support strategies.
• Encouraging pupils' independence, confidence and social development.
