Job summary

VANRATH is working with an established accountancy practice in East Belfast seeking an experienced Part-Qualified or Fully Qualified Accountant to manage a varied client portfolio and provide accounts and general practice services.

The role offers flexible hours, with options for full-time or a 3.5-day week, and will involve developing client relations and contributing to the practice’s ongoing development. A long-term, stable opportunity within a friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns (UK).
• Good knowledge of UK accounting and taxation.
• Experience in accountancy practice.
• Strong client management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Prepare personal and corporate tax computations and returns.
• Manage a portfolio of clients.
• Liaise directly with clients and handle day-to-day queries.
• Assist with year-end accounts and financial reporting.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support the wider team and junior staff where required.
• Becoming increasingly involved in development and day-to-day running of the practice.
