Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a Chartered accountancy practice in Belfast to recruit a Part-Qualified/ Newly Qualified Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. The role offers hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days from home), with a salary range of £30k–£43k and benefits including pension auto enrolment and discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in accountancy practice with accounts preparation, including statutory accounts.
• Experience with Personal & Corporate Tax Returns and VAT returns.
• ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified, QBE or ATI qualification or equivalence.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and build strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Statutory & management accounts preparation, with a strong focus on MTD.
• Personal & Corporation Tax Returns, predominantly Personal Tax.
• VAT returns.
• Review trainee work and support January tax deadlines.
• Tax consultancy and client management.
• Report into the Manager.

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with an established and growing Practice located in Belfast, looking to recruit for a Part-Qualified Accountant/ Newly Qualified Accountant on a full time, permanent basis.

While most of their clients are located throughout Northern Ireland, they also serve a diverse international client base across the Republic of Ireland, Great Britain, Europe, North and South America, and Australia.

The team includes experienced professionals from a range of specialisms, including chartered accountancy, tax advisory, trust and estate planning, and human resources.

What you need to be the Successful Part-Qualified Accountant/ Newly Qualified Accountant

• Previous experience working in an accountancy practice, ideally small to mid-tier.
• Strong accounts preparation experience, including statutory accounts.
• ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified, QBE or ATI qualified.
• Experience with Accounts preparation, Personal/Corporate Tax, VAT and general practice work desirable.
• Comfortable managing a varied workload and building strong client relationships.
