Job summary

VANRATH in Bangor is partnering with a well-established independent accountancy practice to recruit a Part-Time Senior Accounts Professional. This role offers flexible hours and a supportive, close-knit team where you can independently review accounts.

You will prepare and review year-end accounts for a varied SME portfolio, resolve issues, handle client queries, and provide practical accounting advice while contributing to the firm's ongoing growth and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Qualified, part-qualified or AAT/IATI-level accounts professional.
• Significant experience in an accounting practice.
• Experience preparing accounts for SME portfolios.
• Proven ability to review accounts independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review year-end accounts for SME clients.
• Independently review accounts prepared by colleagues.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues before finalisation.
• Prepare accounts from incomplete or client-generated records.
• Manage a portfolio of clients and build relationships.
• Deal with client queries and provide practical accounting advice.
• Support colleagues with technical accounting matters.
