Job summary

The Wyre Forest Health Partnership is seeking a phlebotomist to cover phlebotomy services across Kidderminster, Bewdley, Stourport and Hagley on a rotational basis.

You will ensure blood specimens are collected professionally and maintain high standards of hygiene, documentation and patient care. Flexible working options include varied hours, with discussions to suit both the role and the team.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at minimum.
• Experience in healthcare settings.
• Experience working in Phlebotomy services.

Responsibilities

• Support doctors and practice nursing team in delivering phlebotomy services.
• Check patient identification against requests and obtain consent.
• Collect blood samples using venepuncture and provide chaperoning as required.
• Label and bag specimens correctly for courier collection.
• Maintain hygiene and restock equipment; monitor expiry dates.
• Update patient records per practice procedures; notify significant issues.
