Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two part-time Phlebotomists to join the busy West Berkshire team in Thatcham. You will perform venous blood collection with a focus on patient comfort, label specimens accurately, and ensure timely transport to the lab.

The role includes shift patterns across weekdays and alternating Saturdays. We welcome applicants with a phlebotomy background, a GCSE in Maths and English, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy qualification or equivalent.
• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient comfort and consent for blood collection.
• Perform safe blood collection following procedures.
• Label samples accurately and dispatch to laboratories.
• Answer calls courteously and efficiently.
