Job summary

Sirona care & health CIC in Bristol is recruiting a Health Care Support Worker (NHS AfC Band 3) on a part-time basis (24 hours/week). The role supports urgent care units and adults and children, delivering high-quality, compassionate care alongside multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering direct patient care in urgent care settings.
• Experience performing phlebotomy procedures.
• Experience dressing wounds and providing wound care.
• Experience caring for adults and children with varying conditions.
• Experience in community and acute healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, and assist patients at the MIU/UTC.
• Support clinical staff with taking and recording vital signs.
• Carry out basic wound care as part of patient treatment.
• Assist with mobility, comfort, and personal needs of patients.
• Aid procedures such as plaster application or removal.
• Prepare and restock clinical rooms and trolleys.
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
• Escort patients to radiology, other departments, or discharge areas.
• Clean and prepare equipment for use.
