Job summary

The Co-operative Group in Preesall is seeking a Customer Team Member to provide friendly, helpful service in-store, potentially in the post office or bakery and to assist with online order picking and packing. You will be part of a small, dynamic team ensuring a smooth, pleasant shopping experience for customers.

This part-time role offers 16 hours per week with regular overtime, full training, and flexible shifts across the week, including evenings and weekends, to support local community needs

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for helping people and delivering great customer service.
• The ability to work flexibly across a number of shifts and as part of a team.
• An interest in retail and working in a busy store environment (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and thoughtful service to customers and assist with issues to keep the store running smoothly.
• Work with your team to ensure daily store operations run efficiently.
• Operate tills and assist on the shop floor, contributing to a great shopping experience.
• Keep shelves stocked and monitor prices, dates and stock accuracy.
• Ensure store safety and compliance with store procedures and legal requirements.
• Promote Co-op Membership and support local community initiatives.
