Job summary

Co-op is seeking dedicated Customer Team Members to join our Birkenhead store. You will work as part of a friendly team, delivering helpful service on the shop floor and tills, with potential involvement in post office, bakery, or online order pick/pack duties.

This permanent, part-time role offers full paid training, a 20-hour weekly contract with regular overtime, and a range of benefits. Shifts run mid-afternoon to late evening, including at least one weekend shift.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for helping people and delivering great customer service.
• Able to work flexibly across shifts and as part of a team.
• Interest in retail; experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day store operations with friendly service on the shop floor and tills.
• Collaborate with team to keep the store running smoothly.
• Maintain stock, check prices and dates; ensure stock accuracy and shelf presentation.
• Promote Co-op Membership and services to customers.
• Assist with post office, bakery or online order pickup/packing as needed.
• Contribute to a safe, legal and welcoming store environment.
