Job summary

Smiths News in Whitby is seeking a flexible, part-time Instore Merchandiser to bring products to life on the shop floor. You will own your territory, handle point-of-sale placement, stock replenishment, and auditing, while building strong relationships with store colleagues and managers.

The role offers an hourly pay of £14.24 (including Holiday Pay) with average 5–20 hours per week and travel-related pay/mileage where eligible.

Qualifications

• Previous Merchandising experience would be advantageous but not mandatory.
• Friendly confident personality with a can do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, high integrity and reliable.
• Located within 15 miles of advertised area.
• Ability to work on own initiative and make the right decisions under pressure.
• Full commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Own territory and manage point-of-sale placement, stock replenishment and auditing.
• Build strong relationships with store colleagues and managers.
• Take charge of planning cost-effectivevisit itineraries and ensure displays stay on-brand.
