Job summary

Smiths News, Hereford, is recruiting an Instore Merchandiser for a flexible, part-time contract. You will manage POS, stock and displays while building relationships with store staff. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required, with 5–20 hours weekly on a flexible schedule.

You’ll be responsible for autonomous planning, cost-effective journeys, and ensuring displays stay on-brand while meeting customer needs. Holiday Pay is included.

Qualifications

• Previous Merchandising experience would be advantageous but not mandatory.
• Friendly, confident personality with a can do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and reliability.
• Located within 15 miles of advertised area.
• Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Own territory management and POS placement.
• Maintain stock replenishment and audits.
• Create and maintain visually impactful displays.
• Build strong relationships with store colleagues and managers.
• Plan cost-effective visits and journey planning.
