Job summary

Smiths News is seeking an Instore Merchandiser in Harwich to bring products to life on the shop floor, owning a territory with POS placement, replenishment and auditing. You will ensure displays stay on-brand and stock is replenished efficiently while building relationships with store staff.

The role offers flexible, part‑time hours (average 5–20 per week), mileage and travel time paid where eligible, and a pay rate of £14.24 per hour. A full UK driving licence and vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Previous Merchandising experience would be advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills, high integrity and reliable.
• To be located within 15 miles of advertised area.
• Ability to work on own initiative and make the right decisions under pressure.
• Full commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise products on shop floors, manage point‑of‑sale placements and stock replenishment.
• Create and maintain visually impactful displays and audit displays for brand on-brand consistency.
• Build and maintain relationships with store colleagues and managers.
• Plan cost‑effective route visits and work with autonomy to maximize store coverage.
