The Old Station Nursery Peckham is seeking a friendly Bank Nursery Practitioner to provide flexible, casual care across our nursery teams in Peckham. You’ll cover holidays and busy periods, helping maintain a safe, nurturing environment where children feel happy and valued.

Pay: £12.71 - £14.94 per Hour based on experience. Plus an additional 13.54% accrued holiday pay entitlement.
Hours: Flexible zero hours contract. Whether you’re looking for occasional shifts or more regular work, opportunities are available Monday–Friday between 8am–6pm depending on nursery needs.

Our Peckham Nursery is on Sternhall Lane, directly off Peckham High Street only 5 minutes from the train station, it is easily accessible by foot, rail, or car. We are fortunate to have a large nursery for our children with plenty of space to explore inside, and we regularly go to a nearby park to explore the woodland and let off steam. At The Old Station Nursery Peckham, we are a fun and happy team here at our nursery in Peckham, with many long-serving staff members and strong connections with our families and the local community. As part of our Bank Nursery Team, you’ll support children and colleagues across the nursery as and when needed -whether that’s covering holidays, supporting during busy periods, or helping provide consistency for children when teams need extra support.

You’ll support children through play, creativity, curiosity, and connection while helping create a safe, nurturing environment where they feel happy, valued, and confident to explore.
Experience working in a childcare or Early Years setting, aLevel 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.
We’re looking for people with big hearts, curious minds, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and development.
