Advance Housing & Support Ltd is seeking a Female Waking Nights Support Worker in Christchurch, Bournemouth BH23. The role involves 27 or 36 contracted hours per week, with some weekends.

You’ll support people with learning disabilities/autism/complex needs to lead the lives they choose, with comprehensive training and career progression opportunities. The successful candidate will work nights, be dedicated to safeguarding, and benefit from flexible hours, paid mileage, and sector-specific

Qualifications

• You don’t need previous care or support experience; values, passion and determination to help others matter most.
• Good at working on your own and in a team.
• Excellent at communicating with people.
• Able to complete quality support records.
• Able to work every other weekend.
• Ability to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments and maintain customer records.
• Need to be literate and numerate in English.
• Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required).
• Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night.
• Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required).
• Medication administration (if required).
• Support with independent skills.
• Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required.
• Keeping up to date with training.
• Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure safety.
• Supporting with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry.
