Job summary

Teacher Active is seeking reliable Midday Supervisors to work with partner primary schools in Mansfield and surrounding areas. You will supervise pupils during lunch and playtime, support positive behaviour, and help create a safe, enjoyable midday experience.

This is a flexible, part‑time opportunity across Nottingham’s primary schools. Experience with children is desirable, but full training and safeguarding guidance are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable
• A genuine passion for supporting children's well-being and development
• A calm, patient and approachable manner
• Confidence managing behaviour and dealing with minor incidents
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to remain alert and proactive when supervising children
• An understanding of safeguarding and pupil welfare
• A reliable and flexible approach to work
• The ability to follow school policies and procedures
• Previous school experience is desirable but not essential, and we would welcome applications from candidates with experience in childcare, youth work, sports coaching, care or similar settings

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunch and playtime
• Promote positive behaviour and ensure safety
• Assist with supervising in dining hall and playground
• Support pupils with minor incidents and transitions
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures
