Job summary

Teacher Active in Nottingham is seeking a Primary Midday Supervisor to help supervise lunch and playtimes across partner primary schools. The role offers flexible, part-time opportunities during the school day.

Salary: £14.25 - £16.00 per hour, depending on experience

Teacher Active is currently looking to expand our pool of enthusiastic, reliable and caring Midday Supervisors to work with our partner primary schools across Nottingham and the surrounding areas.

We work with a wide range of mainstream primary schools, with regular opportunities for Midday Supervisors to support schools during lunchtime and playtime.

This is an ideal opportunity for people looking for flexible, part-time work within a school environment, as well as those looking to gain valuable experience working with children.

As a Midday Supervisor, you will help ensure pupils have a safe, enjoyable and positive lunchtime experience. You will supervise children in the dining hall, playground and other designated areas, while promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils where required.

The successful Midday Supervisor will ideally have:

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable
• A genuine passion for supporting children's well-being and development
• A calm, patient and approachable manner
• Confidence managing behaviour and dealing with minor incidents
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to remain alert and proactive when supervising children
• An understanding of safeguarding and pupil welfare
• A reliable and flexible approach to workThe ability to follow school policies and procedures

Previous school experience is desirable but not essential, and we would welcome applications from candidates with experience in childcare, youth work, sports coaching, care or similar settings.
