Job summary

Academics is seeking Learning Support Assistants to work across Barry primary schools and the Vale of Glamorgan. Flexible ad-hoc supply and longer-term placements are available to fit your availability and commitments.

Role includes supporting pupils, assisting teachers, and helping create a positive learning environment. DBS and registration with the Education Workforce Council are required; pay is £93 per day with weekly pay and ongoing consultant support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in any setting.
• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant is desirable.
• A patient, adaptable and supportive approach.
• Confidence working alongside teachers and other school staff.
• A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development in primary school settings.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and day-to-day learning.
• Helping create a positive, safe and supportive learning environment.
• Working with pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
• Picking up flexible, ad-hoc shifts or securing longer-term placements within the same school.
