Job summary

Academics is recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across primary schools in Barry and the wider Vale of Glamorgan. We have ad-hoc supply and longer-term placements available, offering flexible work to fit your availability and commitments.

Role involves supporting pupils and teachers in primary schools, creating a safe learning environment, and working with pupils with varying needs. DBS and EWC registration are required; pay starts at £93 per day.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in any setting.
• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant is desirable.
• A patient, adaptable and supportive approach.
• Confidence working alongside teachers and other school staff.
• A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development in primary school settings.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and day-to-day learning.
• Helping create a positive, safe and supportive learning environment.
• Working with pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
• Picking up flexible, ad-hoc shifts or securing longer-term placements within the same school.
