Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants for Terrington. This role offers flexible clinical support across local primary care services, with varied sessions and opportunities for HCAs who excel in patient-facing roles and delivering routine clinical tasks.

You will support different primary care teams with routine observations, treatment room duties, and clinic flow, guided by clear workflows to ensure consistency in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous HCA experience in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills desirable.
• Ability to perform clinical observations confidently.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Adaptability across different primary care environments.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient observations such as BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support treatment room procedures under clinical supervision.
• Conduct ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Provide lifestyle advice and basic patient education.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support clinicians with general duties where needed.
