Job summary

Locums First is recruiting Locum Healthcare Assistants to provide flexible support across local primary care services in Pentre. You will perform routine observations, assist in treatment room duties and contribute to smooth clinic flow, with DBS clearance and strong patient-facing skills.

We offer fully flexible shifts across weekdays, evenings and weekends, with regular or ad-hoc bookings to fit availability and area needs.

Qualifications

• Experience as HCA in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills desirable.
• Ability to perform clinical observations confidently.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Adaptability across different primary care environments.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient observations such as BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support treatment room procedures under clinical supervision.
• Conduct ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Provide lifestyle advice and basic patient education.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support clinicians with general duties where needed.
