Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants to provide flexible sessional work across community clinics, GP surgeries and wider primary care services in Pentre. You will support patient assessments, carry out routine clinical procedures and help maintain an efficient clinic environment.

Experience as an HCA in primary care settings is required; enhanced DBS is expected. Shifts include weekdays, evenings, and weekends, with ad-hoc and regular bookings available.

Qualifications

• Experience working as an HCA in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills beneficial.
• Confident in carrying out standardised clinical tasks.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic patient observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support routine treatment room procedures.
• Carry out ECGs and basic health checks.
• Perform phlebotomy if trained.
• Assist with patient education and lifestyle advice.
• Update clinical notes accurately in service systems.
• Provide general clinical support to nurses and GPs.
