Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants to work in Fakenham, delivering flexible clinical support across local primary care services. You will perform routine observations, assist in treatment rooms, and contribute to clinic flow, with sessions tailored to your availability.

Ideal candidates have HCA experience in primary care or NHS settings, with confident patient interactions and DBS clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience as HCA in primary care, community, or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills are desirable.
• Ability to perform clinical observations confidently.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient observations such as BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support treatment room procedures under clinical supervision.
• Conduct ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Provide lifestyle advice and basic patient education.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support clinicians with general duties where needed.
