Aspire People are seeking Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support schools across South Wales. Opportunities include full-time, part-time and flexible hours with immediate and ongoing placements.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience with ALN/SEN is beneficial.
• EWC registration or willingness to obtain.
• Enhanced DBS for Children on the DBS Update Service.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, reliable and adaptable approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
• Working with pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Supporting pupils with their learning, development and confidence.
• Providing additional support to pupils with ALN/SEN.
• Supporting positive behaviour and engagement.
• Helping pupils develop independence and social skills.
• Preparing classroom resources and learning materials.
• Working closely with teachers and other school staff.
• Following safeguarding and school policies.
