Job summary

Eastern Multi-academy Trust (EMAT) is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor for King's Lynn Academy to maintain continuity of learning and foster a positive classroom culture. You will support pupils to engage confidently with their studies and contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives.

The role requires Level 2 GCSEs in English and Maths, prior education experience, and the ability to manage classes, including SEN and G&T considerations.

Qualifications

• Level 2 (GCSE A-C) in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Experience of working in an education setting.
• Ability to manage classes effectively and motivate pupils; SEN and G&T awareness.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible to work outside normal hours if necessary.
• Confident using IT systems and software.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuity of learning and a positive classroom environment.
• Support pupils to engage confidently with their studies.
• Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives with pastoral teams.
• Assist with educational administrative tasks during school closures.
