Job summary
Locum Ready is seeking a General Practice Nurse for flexible sessions across Gerrards Cross and surrounding GP clinics. You will perform essential nursing duties in target treatment rooms and participate in clinical reviews with autonomy in well-supported environments.
You will support local clinical teams with routine nursing activities, chronic disease reviews, and standard treatment room procedures, following clear protocols to ensure safe, coordinated patient care.
Qualifications
- NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
- Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
- Strong treatment room competency.
- Confident working independently within GP settings.
- Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne.
- Enhanced DBS.
Responsibilities
- Delivering treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings
- Supporting chronic disease reviews in line with local care plans
- Administering adult and childhood immunisations (if trained)
- Performing smear tests where cytology-trained
- Conducting NHS Health Checks and routine assessments
- Maintaining accurate digital clinical notes
- Supporting general nursing duties as required by the clinic
