Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a General Practice Nurse to support regional primary care services across Etchingham. This flexible sessional role is ideal for nurses experienced in routine treatment room activity and supporting day-to-day clinical operations in GP clinics.

You will assist local primary care teams with general nursing duties, clinical reviews and patient-facing procedures in structured, well-organised environments, with weekday, evening or weekend shifts offered.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with primary care experience.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Strong communication with patients.

Responsibilities

• Providing routine nursing support across GP clinic settings.
• Conducting wound care, dressings and treatment room duties.
• Administering routine immunisations and vaccinations (if trained).
• Completing smear tests if cytology-trained.
• Supporting chronic disease management and care plan activity.
• Undertaking NHS Health Checks where required.
• Documenting clinical information accurately in digital systems.
